4 of 5 Pretty shoes but not the most comfortable! September 10, 2024

We are retired and just got a small herd of goats. So, I was looking for shoes that would be easy to clean after being in the goat barn. My new Sloggers are pretty, and super easy to clean, but unfortunately are not very comfortable. I’m hoping that there is a break-in period and that they will start to feel better over time. Fingers crossed!!!

These are low volume pull-on shoes, thus the are rather loose at the heel, encouraging the foot to pull out with each step. And with no natural lining material, feet get pretty sweaty in the plastic. Lastly, the lug soles grip well but are thin. Stones and whatnot are definitely felt through the soles.

I love my Sloggers.  This is my first pair but wish I had known about them before.  comfortable walking around  for hours.  I have been looking for garden shoes that were comfortable and my Sloggers are the ones.
They are comfortable working in the garden  for hours.  I got the hummingbird design & they are so cute!

These are great for days where inches of rain are flowing around but you still need to get around by foot. I even wear them to work on days like that, the pattern is pretty but dark enough not to draw much attention in a business casual environment. They don't scream galoshes but they operate better than galoshes - a more secure fit that keeps you stable on your feet. A bit sweaty in the height of summer otherwise not really had a problem with that. These things have lasted 5 years with nothing worn out but the insoles which I just ordered new ones of.
